Singapore & Malaysia: Our First International Travel

After spending nearly a decade sitting quietly in my drafts folder, this post is finally seeing the light of day. Better late than never, right? 😊

Back in November 2016, after a year of planning and anticipation, we finally embarked on our first international adventure as a married couple—to Singapore and Malaysia!

I chose Singapore because it's incredibly tourist-friendly and conveniently just a 4–5-hour direct flight from Davao City. Since Legoland Malaysia is only a short trip away, it felt like the perfect opportunity to visit both countries in one unforgettable vacation.

At that point, we had been married for six years. We were also working in different places, so spending several days traveling together was more than just a holiday—it was a chance to reconnect and see how we'd handle being together 24/7 after so much time apart.

As it turned out, the trip gave us plenty of memories, lots of laughs, and stories that have waited far too long to be shared. So, here's to finally hitting "Publish" and reliving an adventure that's been ten years in the making!

This trip will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was our very first international adventure together, and every moment—from the exciting discoveries to the little awkward moments—made it even more memorable. Thankfully, we made it through the trip without a single misunderstanding and simply enjoyed every step of the journey.

This post is also a little appreciation note to my husband. Thank you for being so supportive, caring, and protective throughout the trip. Traveling together for the first time taught us a lot, gave us plenty of reasons to laugh, and created memories we'll treasure forever.

Here's to many more adventures, passport stamps, and unforgettable moments together. Cheers to more travel goals for us! 💕✈️

Land Trip from Manila to Davao

            It was a long trip that took two days and two nights of travel. We had been able to have a land trip from Manila to Davao because my companions bought new cars and preferred to transport the cars by having a land trip than shipped it. North Cotabato: Asik-Asik Falls

       At long last, I was able to visit Asik asik falls after months of longing to visit it. Asik  asik falls is near our place and it is specifically located at Brgy. Dulao, Alamada, North Cotabato. It was a newly discovered tourist attraction and was only brought to my attention on the month of May.       To be able to reach this place, the nearest airport is Awang Airport of Cotabato City which is one hour and forty-five minute flight from Manila. From Cotabato City to this place would take two hours ride. If you want to travel by land, Libungan to Davao would take three to six hours ride and from Libungan to Brgy. Dulao would take thirty minutes to reach this place. Barugkot & Lampaki, Kimarayag, Pigcawayan, Cotabato

Isn’t it magnificent? A view from Barugkot Barangay Kimarayag, Pigcawayan, Cotabato. A beautiful scenery from my very own hometown Pigcawayan. We were able to discover this place because my husband’s relatives owned some property here.  A view of the Liguasan Marsh, surrounding towns, Pigcawayan, Libungan and Cotabato City’s lights could be seen during nighttime. Here is Mt. Akir-Akir, a well known hiking destination here, the highest peak in North Cotabato. This is the view from Lampaki, Brgy. Kimarayag, Pigcawayan, Cotabato. Who would have thought there would be a very beautiful sunset here at Barugkot? A little birdwatching activity along the way. Another beautiful sunset with the view of Bungo island.
